memories to cherish registered charity number: 1124485 home about us our aims events latest news holidays testimonials downloads gallery donate contact us we aim too raise enough funding through donations by businesses, to provide more holidays, activity days and day trips for the children and their families. with your help children become more positive about their own capabilities, their self-worth and their future helping make memories to cherish donate via paypal our supporters we would like to say a massive thank you to paul and john for running the manchester 10k, and kelly, alan & pete for running the wilmslow half marathon for us & then 3 weeks later kelly was joined by simon, pete & simon to run 10 x 10km’s in 10 day’s what a massive achievement and in total nearly £4000 raised #memoriestocherish we are pleased to introduce “sandy” our new mascot thank you for all your support throughout 2017 and into 2018 thank you for all your support throughout 2017 and into 2018, your funding has enabled us to not only offer holidays to our families but we have been able to fund groups of children with activities during the school holidays i.e.: swimming, horse riding, cycling this was achieved and we funded many groups of children. we also aimed to provide exclusive sessions at specialist multi sensory play centres, which we believed would be greatly beneficial in the development of young children, to date we have assisted 370 children in the following activities: swimming at the pelican centre horse riding at margaret haes riding centre wheels for all hyndburn space centre jump space rebound therapy bouncy castle hire achievements and performance trewan sands children’s trust has seen a significant increase in the number of beneficiaries that it has provided to families with children and young people with disabilities or life limiting conditions that have needed our support and that meet our criteria. we were hoping to run more fundraising events which allow the children to interact with other children and families; this is beneficial not only to the children with disabilities and terminal illnesses but also their parents/carers and siblings. these have been a great success with us running numerous events throughout this year including: breakfast with peppa pig a halloween party breakfast with santa “wear your pj’s day” and a “music festival. we are still working closely in partnership with 5* ribby hall village and have once again, been chosen as pr world travel’s charity of the year, this enables us to secure the best discounts for the holidays. we have secured companies and groups that we are working closely with as their charity partner including local sports teams, public houses and businesses. plans for future periods moving forward we are looking to looking to change our remit to include the supply of disability aids and disability equipment. we aspire to again increase the number of beneficiaries throughout the coming year and will continue to assist with travel to get the children to the centres. our plans for the future are to continue to strive to enhance all of our achievements and involve and help many more children and young people and their families/carers, providing the much needed specialist equipment and support that they deserve and without our support would miss out on. we realise the potential to further increase the number of beneficiaries that we support each year and increase the amount of accessible opportunities that enable them to attend more social recreational activities. we will sustain our contingency plan to ensure future viability. we are constantly looking into various new holiday destinations and working partners to provide fully adapted and non adapted accommodations, which will enable us to allow our families a greater selection of choice. we are also hoping to work in partnership with even more companies to become their charity of the year, enabling us to raise more funds and awareness. so once again a very big thank you to you all and we look forward to your continued support this year enabling us to give families “memories to cherish” please welcome kelly fearn . kelly will be running numerous events in support of trewan sands this year. their first event: kelly & alans half marathon fundraising we are taking part in the wilmslow half marathon for trewan sands children’s trust because of a special little lady alice barnes time to put on our running shoes and raise some money!
